Having had some issues with the ENC ethernet modules, I switched to using these devices. They are well constructed and once connected provide a robust network connection using the Ethernet2 library. I'm using these where a wifi connection isn't appropriate. When connecting to an Arduino Nano, I used the following connections Arduino W5500 3v3 3v3 GND GND D12 MISO D11 MOSI D10 SCS (pin D10 is the defined SS pin for SPI in the ethernet2 library) D13 SCLK D2 INT RST RST

grumpy_gnome Don't know about PIs, but I have used the 16x2 version of this module with an ESP32 microcontroller using 3.3V logic to drive the SDA and SCL lines, but powering the module with 5V (so I can see the display).

grumpy_gnome Do a search for "LCD 2004A datasheet". based on a look at the results, most of these panels seem to use an Hitachi HD44780 or compatible LCD controller. See results from systronix or hobbytronics. A little digging will get to a datasheet - BG won't allow direct links.

This is a high quality and very useful tool for ensuring holes in enclosures are just the right size. The blade is sharp and the markings very clear. Not sure how I coped without one!

A great little power supply. Dropped a star as it's plug does not have a replaceable fuse and because it is extremely hard to get as low as 3V. Perfectly usable for higher voltages though and well packaged,

grumpy_gnome Extend the power cable and protect the joint, which should be soldered, with adhesive heat shrink and/or normal heat shrink with silicone.

An all round neat kit. The screwdriver bits are well secured in the wallet and the screw locking handle feels robust and sits comfortably in the hand. Seems to provide all the main bits you're likely to need.

I bought these as they can be ordered with an external wifi antenna which I needed to access the internet from the garden! A very small change is required to the board to use the external antenna but this is well documented here: http://tinyurl.com/ycgb53lt Using with the arduino was straightforward, but take care to select the correct Wemos D1 board from the board manager - it's a D1 mini pro!

These LCD panels provide a cost-effective display option for arduino projects. The backlight is very good - quite bright! They connect using I2C, which requires using fewer pins, so ideal for smaller microcontrollers. On setup, I did need to adjust the contrast, but this is very easily done using the trimpot on the back of the display. I used these with the arduino IDE and the LiquidCrystal I2C library without any issues at all.
