grfloater Mi Home. But as others wrote, the device can be add only through China region server. I have the app installed with Europe server, added several devices. I had to install it on different device (a new tablet), login with the same credentials (Mi account), but set region to China mainland. Also have location permissions given. This way, the light is easily discovered and added. Till now, the new instance of Mi home, for tablet with China region, did not mess my other instance, for phone with Europe region, still able to see the rest of my devices. I just have to use only the tablet, for controlling the light (and phone, for the rest of my devices).

C2mpt Maybeyou should check if your charging cable is suitable for that voltage. Had a similar situation and a brand new cable capable of reaching higher values did the trick.

grfloater Instead of passing a single loop of the load line through the Current Transformer, wind 10 turns of a suitable insulated cable. 10A can be on 1.5 mm2 cable, so it could fit the CT opening, for 10 turns. Then, you should divide what you are reading by 10, i.e. if you read 5.4A, it would be 0.54A

grfloater It is powered from the same AC voltage that it measures, i.e. 60-500Vac. You connect the mains power to the two screws at the back of the unit (then you cover them with the orange plastic piece) and the current transformer with the mini cable plug (load line passes through the hole of the CT). Please work with mains disconnected (fuse down), if you do not know what you are doing, better call an electrician.

grfloater As tgian1973 stated, first of all you need to make sure that the total Wattage of your 10m strip is within the specs of this smps (<60W). I know of strips with 14W per m, 7W per m (i.e. those two are not allowed for 10m strip), only if your strip is e.g. 4W per m you may try it (should be <6W per m). Then, it is a matter of construction of the strip: the two power supply lines, that run through the edges of the strip, are made from (thin) copper. You may measure the resistance of (each) line, from start to end of the 10m strip. I'd say that you should measure each line to have less than 0.5 ohm (in 10m), i.e. total supply <1 ohm, so that you have minimum loss of brightness towards the end of the strip. Else, you could power the strip from both ends (with the same smps), as Centipede suggests, or even split and(or) "multifeed" the strip to various points.

grfloater the alarm will function in any place you may mount it... it has a motion sensor, so, if you are able to steady mount it somewhere, it will function ok... just to mention that mounting it under the seat it is a little "covert", while if it is easily visible, someone could cover the siren by hand, thus the sound is very low...
