This is it. This is the budget car you are looking for. I can't even explain just how blown away I was at the value of this little car. For about 25 bucks you get 2 sets of lithium ion batteries, 4wd, 2c (7.4v) and fully proportional controls. It's pretty fast and powerful enough to drift on smooth concrete. Unlike the anemic 3.6v car it replaced, when you give this one throttle it goes full speed right away, only limited by traction/tire spin. I was also expecting the usual brittle plastic at this price point, but we have wrecked this thing dozens of times and it just keeps going. It's really too fast for our basement, but we run it there anyways so we have crashed full speed into walls, had tumbling landings on the concrete floor when jumping, catching tires on corners, and it has also been run into a few times by kids on scooters playing "car chase" with nothing broken yet. so what's not to love? Well, the steering linkage is a little loose, some parts are plastic that I think should be metal for long term durability, and every now and then I have to turn it off and on a few times before the control works properly without lag. but again, we're talking about a $25 car. You can get better features for 2-3 times the price, but overall this is still the best car I have found for less than $50, maybe even more than that.

BG011521837 are you pairing them when you turn it on? I have to follow the pairing sequence every time.

Flight time is very short, but it's a lot of fun and the controls are easy to use. It's TINY. I don't care how small you think it is from pictures, it's smaller. The app linked in the manual doesn't work on newer phones (I tried 3 I had) so hopefully I can find one that works soon. I thinky 10 yo will have a lot of fun with this.
