Ordered this plane and it arrived very quickly here in the UK. It was so cheap I did wonder about the quality of this model. But I didn't need to worry it is a good quality kit with nice foam and attention to detail. I Flew this model 3 or 4 times this weekend and had a real surprise about how well it flew with a 2200 3S. I had to dial down all the rates on this model because the control surfaces are huge and you don't need much defection. CG was exactly as staed in the instructions and I just used the 2200 3S pushed up to the metal motor mount. Noi additional weight was required. The wheel spats were deleted as I fly off grass and after the first couple of flights the small ply wedge that holds the undercarriage wire fell out and was lost. This area could do with a rethink as the tiny amount of ply with a screw through it is very weak to hold the landing gear on. The control horns were okay but the clevises were very cheap looking so I substituted metal clevises and threaded pushrods. I used MG90s servos. Overall an excellent little flyer! Not for beginners!

The model appears to be almost identical to the E-flite Ultra Stick. This is an excellent model but spoilt by a few niggles. The balsa and ply model is constructed very nicely, with a good deal of attention paid to the structure. But the model is let down by poor choices of hardware. The covering job is excellent. The control horns are okay but none of the supplied screws to fit them, are long enough. The Ailerons and Flaps are well made but you cannot fit the flap servos/horns easily and you might need a servo reverser for flap operation. The ESC does not fit under the battery tray so it has to go in the battery space. The wing locating dowels didn't line up correctly with the pre drilled holes in the fuselage and I had to "oval out" the holes. Wheel spats are hard to get fitted straight and are only held in place by two small screws. I am still waiting for hardware to arrive for this model before I can fly it. I will reserve final judgement until then. With a bit more attention paid to the screws and fixings this would easily be a 5 star model. But I'll give it 4/5.

Built this little kit in about 4 or 5 hours. Great little soldering project but there is one small 6 pin surface mount chip to be soldered. This can be done without too much trouble if you flux the area well and pre-tin the solder pads before trying to mount the component. I really enjoyed the kit build and it worked first time. It pairs with my phone and has a pretty good sound for such a small speaker. Instructions are a biy hard to read as they are mainly in chinese but you can download the colour pictures from the internet and zoom in. 4.5 stars......Great Fun

This has obviously come out of the same moulds as another HK model. I would not dare to compare it to another model. I haven't finished building mine yet, but all the parts appear well moulded and complete. I bought the kit when it was much cheaper than another model on the Hobby King website and I am able to fit my own choice of servos motor and ESC. Looking forward to a fun and sporty model as I know that model flies well. Walrus Walrus Walrus!

This is a great little flyer and I got free shipping from the new UK warehouse! I fly a lot of models and belong to a Model Flying Club but this small plane is a blast if you just want to walk to the local park with a model. Flys well on a calm day and is pretty robust. Batteries give amazing 15 minute flying times and it's just fun. Range of the little transmitter is ample and the bird can fly at 1/4 throttle. Great stuff!

Wow! what a brilliant bit of kit. Discharges all my LIPO batteries to storage charge without a fuss. I use it at the feild and at home and it's way quicker to use than my charger. I don't know how I got by before. 5 stars!

This model flies amazingly well. Its one of those weird, hidden BG gems. It does not fly mental fast, but it is extremely well behaved. Flies for about 12 minutes on a tiny 2S battery pack. Will fly slow, quite fast, is happy inverted and even rolls like a peach. 1806 2300Kv motor with a 5x5 prop is what is ideal for this one. Love mine, fly it loads at home too. Matt

keith.billinge Just bought the 1200mm version of the ugly stick from Hobby King (Called the crusader 30e) and it was £85 this one is 1300mm and £180 Such a shame this is so expensive!
