Mech Sorry it seems to be running Windows CE not android and the only version it displays is SL-v2.or-V0.3 which tells me nothing. As for updates it's the same as all these cheap items no one will provide software updates to them. But it has a lot of features already and they all work for me so there's no real need for updates on a radio, unless you always chase the latest and greatest. I do on PC's and important equipment but not much on a cheap car radio. If you know what I mean. :)
