MarkK yes, it activates when throttle is applied. the gyro is not adjustable or defeatable, but it works well, does not over compensate but it is noticable.

MarkK This car is awesome, really fun to slide around and it looks great doing it. Not really made for toddlers since drifting does take some skill to get it to go where you want it to.

MarkK You can get at least 3 other body shells with headlight kits, wheel styles and colors, and rubber tires...from China. Check Aliexpress. I've purchased from BackAgain Store with success.

MarkK Theplastic stock drive shaft is actually quite durable, only problem is the slide needs to break-in so it compresses smoother.

NimmaS 2840 motor up from 2435, full metal drive train now, steering servo seems faster, oil shocks standard, battery is now a lipo rather than li-ion. Top speed tested today is 39km-h seems similar but better pickup I think. Full review coming shortly on quadifyRC.com

MarkK Yes, it is a great budget RC racer, very controllable. Great for beginners, and fun for the experienced hobbyist.

MarkK The gyro only works while the throttle is on. You can test it by holding the car, add throttle, then rotate the car left and right. The steering should turn by itself to compensate for your rotational movements.

MarkK It drifts beautifully. Much better drift control than the SG 1603, 1604 and DIRC cars. The hard rubber drift tires and locked differentials really help. It also has a gyro to stabilize the car.
