ArdRhi Looking at the comments, and reading deeper in the sales documents, I'm assuming someone jumped the gun by saying it'd come with a battery. In reality, my guess is that there are too many extremely onerous regulations regarding the shipping of lithium-ion batteries by air for it to be cost-effective to include them. (I do NOT work for them, I'm a customer too, no, I can't solve this problem, don't ask me.) Just the USA alone has massive limitations on lithium batteries being shipped in products. The box needs special labeling and warning stickers, and I believe there are other restrictions on the size of the battery and such. The concern is that changes in air pressure from air travel can cause these batteries to deform and catch fire or even explode, particularly when the battery in question is of dubious manufacture. It's much safer to not ship something like this with a battery. If you are buying this radio on the basis of it using and coming with a battery, I'd suggest some more searching for an affordable radio. That's a dubious feature to base a purchase on.
