Ketil Range in line of sight is at least 2km if there is no blocking of the signal and no disturbing signals. This will depend on the receiver, though - som park-flyer recceivers will have much shorter range. I don't see why not you could or should use this for a boat. If you need very long range, you could go the elrs route with this radio.

Ερ: Is it possible to load Arducopter /Ardupilot rather than PX4 on this unit ?

Ketil Yes. It is closed source, but supported. Look at supported hardware on ardupilot.org website

Ερ: Can the two halves of the wing be glued together? Has anyone done this? Thanks

Ketil The kit intends for you to build a one-piece wing, I think. If you do not need separate wing halves, I would definitely reccoment building the center section in one piece. I also rejected the supplied top and bottom sheeting for full length material. The only kit support between the halves is the carbon tubes that just reach through the centre block of spars, and the quality of glueing the halves together. Being paranoid, I used 0.4mm plywood as top and bottom sheeting. I regret not doing the same with the top and bottom ply spars. Well, now the wing will have to find another place to break... I guess much the same could have been accomplished with some cotton bands, silk or nylon soaked in epoxy running the seam, but that would have left a bump on the top seam on the finished model. If you do want the wings separate, I would open the holes and glue in larger carbon tubes accepting the supplied 5mm tubes on the inside, and anchor these larger ones to one or two spars outboard, and also support against the ply top and bottom spars. In this case, you would also want two screws instead of one holding down the aft part of the wing.
