I tested the Arduino Uno - loaded programs into it, tested successfully. (It had no program loaded in when it arrived.). I then loaded grbl1.1f and that is running properly. The CNC board and stepper driver boards are still being worked on.

I have not built this into anything usable yet, but I am happy with its quality. What complicates is that my router would not fit the mounting holes, so I have to make an adaptor, and then build the assembly into a little routing table.

peterbiekens you measure voltage across a known resistance. then given voltage and resistor value you apply Ohm's Law to work out the current.

I am experimenting with these boards to put multiple windings on. According to the datasheet for the LM2587 this can be done ( using different toroids from my junk box.). I hope to use these switchers and boards to provide the multiple voltages needed to power a small CRT (see photo).

Received, read the manual, and tested - delightful device ! It came with a little plug in Bluetooth device to use an Android phone or pad to control the PSG9080 - which would allow to move the PSG9080 off the bench and control and read it from the Android device instead of its own screen and controls. I found that Android 7 devices worked with the app to link automatically to the Bluetooth card, but Android 11 did not work. The Bluetooth device shows as BSG045 and if I can get the pairing key for it, can possibly get the Junteks app to connect on Android version 11. Appreciated that the PSG9070 will happily do frequency sweeping and display the envelope on a modern scope, as a way to determine frequency response curves of tuned circuits. One thing that I want to do is make a helper device to safely present a frequency response curve onto a vintage O'scope. The helper device has to present a very high impedance to the X-sweep output from the scope of 2 Meg Ohms, convert the +250 Volt ..0 Volt triangular waveform to +5V ..-5 V waveform that the PSG9080 inputs as external VCO input. The helper device also has to wideband amplify a signal coming from the DUT, and pass it through a diode to get a low frequency (circa 38 Hz frequency response waveform to feed into the old O'scope's amplifier.). Photo of an old O'scope included.. You might think "Why bother with adapting to vintage gear?". The reason is that modern devices, especially signal generators are far easier to use than old devices, and adapting like this reveals what engineers used to have to work with. It is educational and instructive.. Thank you for a great instrument, and long may it continue to work !

This looks useful, but goes into my inventory and will not be immediately used. I like the space saving design where a Dil chip just spans the gap with only a single conductor rail running up the middle of the gap. The copper tracks seem to have been lightly coated with a thin flux layer, again useful both to resist oxidation and to facilitate soldering. Thank you.

This looks to be a useful precision marking tool. It arrived without any scribing needle or clutch pencil. A 0.5 mm clutch pencil is required (yes I do have one). For the scribing needle I am using a surplus oscilloscope probe adjusting screwdriver that has been sharpened.

peterbiekens If it is a quartz watch it will have a replaceable movement that can be purchased for about $15. The dial back may indicate the movement name, otherwise you will find it when you open the case. Good luck !

Watch worked for less than 2 months (but more than the 30 day warranty). Now stops during the day and will restart if tapped on the face. Not happy with a 30 day warranty and would warn others that it basically has no guarantee .

Am buying anyway because the device is inexpensive, compact, and since it contains a roof prism will be better than opera glasses (not a Newtonian telescope).

I am using these as energy-saving voltage reducers. There are two kinds of noise at the output: HF ringing from digital switching, and voltage ripple. I get rid of the ringing noise using a 8mm diameter ferrite ring with 3 turns of wire both plus and neg output wires. I get rid of voltage ripple with 78XX or LM317 linear regulators. The modules are rated 50 mV ripple, but my noise is much less than that - too low to measure on my O'scope. Basically I have a 26V 1Amp supply from a transformer, and from that I want to provide +Variable voltage, +12 Volts and +8 Volts at as much current as can supply, and for these supplies to be short-circuit protected. To do so I use 3 modules, 3 ferrite rings and 3 linear regulators. Success !!
