Andrew Justdiscovered this idiotic behaviour myself. It would have been so easy to add voltage to the SEL button sequence but they didn't.

Not really useful as an really universal multimeter, for a very dumb reason. There is no selection between volt and amp measurement. Thus this meter can not measure voltages below 0,8V making it useless as a multimeter. On the other hand, if you need some device below 20€ to remote monitor something above 0,8V and some hundred mA ot temp with your smartphone with bluetooth, just disable power off timeout as instructed and you have an cheap universal remote sensor with some limitations and pretty decent battery life as no display light need to be on. That is the reason I spent 20€ for this device. That seem to be working OK, but do not buy this as your only multimeter, if you plan to use it on electronics. With mains voltages (120/240 V) this is fine.

This is not the item shown. There is no lithium cell and the protective paper has not been removed from the acrylic case in a poor attempt to disguise this. It seems to work but it is less useful when it has to be tethered to the USB earth because of the missing cell.

Andrew Don't move the output arm of the servos unnecessarily unless you really want to strip the gears. Flapping them back and forth as shown in this video is a very bad idea.
