I had to wait for some time for these water cooling jackets to be delivered, but now that they have arrived I have fitted them and can get the motors into my power boats and see how they perform. These water cooling jackets are not at all expensive and and the red/orange anodised finish makes them look really good and quite professional looking. When I first tried to gently push my first water jacket over the 3674 motor sleeve the large orange coloured "O" ring fell out, so I re-inserted it and wiped some Vaseline (petroleum jelly) onto these "O" rings to help them stay in place and slide over the motor case more readily. Unfortunately when fitted the motors specification is covered by the water jacket, so it is a good idea if you have more than one type (as I have) to write the size (ie 1580KV) on the black plastic end cap of the motor to make it easy to identify them in the future. This is a nice product and invaluable if you run the 3674 mood in power boats and prefer to water cool them. If spare "O" rings were to become available, it would probably be a good idea to buy a packet because if these "O" rings should split or deteriorate with age, the water jacket will leak and could cause other problems inside the boat.

I have bought several of these motors for use in fast model power boats, but I have been unable to use them as I prefer to run them water-cooled and have been waiting for a suitable water cooling jacket to be delivered. Surpass motors have a very god reputation and these 3674 motors were recommended to me by a fellow model power boat user in Australia. As well as this 1580 KV version of the Surpass 3674, I have also bought the 2250KV as well, and now that the aluminium water jackets have been delivered I am looking forward to running then and comparing the performance with the Surpass brushless motors that I usually use.
