Mine arrived last week and overall the build is good quality. Easy to assemble and a great size for the home hobbyist. Saying it is a 40W laser though is false advertising. The laser is 5.5W output and the motherboard will support 40W drain. Power supply is a little under rated for this device though. When you run at 70+% laser power, the cooling fan and stepper motors slow down as they starve for power. I have been unable to get markings or engravings on any type of metal surface with this laser. Types of metal tested .. Aluminium, Copper, Brass, Mild Steel, Stainless Steel. It did show minor success with anodized aluminium, but that was just burning the color pigment and had no effect on the aluminium itself.

Product shipped was different to the one advertised. Advertised as 35mm length and Flat bottom (tip?) .. The ones I received are 28mm length and pointed. Waiting on reply from support ..
