I have used Crest Whitening Strips in the past ( they are expensive! ) so I thought I would buy some of these to try as they cost roughly one sixth of the price. Pro's and Con's. Pro's - The price, it is exceptionally good. There seems to be a good amount of whitening gel impregnated into the strips and you can see and feel it working. Con's - The backing strip is quite crumply, like really thin acetate sheet which means it is VERY hard to wrap your teeth as you would do with Crest strips. This leads to many mistakes and wasting the gel strips as they fold over on themselves and stick to themselves and it is impossible to unfold them again to try and use. The gel does not adhere anywhere as well as Crest Strips, and so as soon as saliva gets in the way the strips just slide around them come away from the tooth surface. The gel sheet and backing sheet are very well stuck together making it difficult to separate the two parts. --------------------- I believe if the manufacturer uses a softer backing material ( similar to what Crest Whitening Strips use ) this product will be much easier to apply and will be a more successful product. I hope they can improve this because there is a very large market for this product if they can improve it. I am happy with my purchase, but have not continued the use as they are too difficult to apply. I have gone back to expensive Crest whitening Strips.
