(because of PWN frequencies, a single module can control either servos or LEDs but not both simultaneously) .Apart from saving GPIO pins , using these modules lets the micro-controller code focus on strategy, rather than the mechanics of PWM control. Adafruit have a good tutorial on these modules and I am happy to recommend them.

my advantage is that pin headres are not soldered, as I need only some. Disdavantage is that the capacitor is not contained and need to be sourced extra.
