The strip arrived in good condition (in bag on reel) with extra connector(bonus). The pads are quite small when you cut the strip make sure you leave enough to connect on Both Sides of the cut....... look on the ESP8266 User Forum for some twinkly video & instructions on How to control these....... http://www.esp8266.com/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=7070

I got these to play with a lighting controller a friend developed. They work well, but you do need to make sure you have a 5V power supply that can handle the current. At 90W, the full string can pull 18A.

lasted about 30 minutes so the light stopped in white even though I pulled the power off and put on where only white solid light tried with a new remote control but only white bright light. was disappointed when I bought one of them most expensive for them to last for a while
