You need to separate them by yourself, which is fine. They're light, resist prop strikes and make switching motors fast and easy. They're skinny enough to fit a 3 inchers arm, though the usefulness of such compability is probably low - you'd have to cut the motors very short even with the 30mm plated. Very good product6, regardless.
