Karl Matthews When using either 18650 or 26650 batteries, typically the flat top batteries will make contact with each other just fine. There are lots of vape devices that people use which require stacking one battery on the other, and they work just fine. I have a flashlight very similar to this one and I have no problem whatsoever, using flat top 18650s. I hope this answer helps you in your decision to purchase this torch !!!
