Mine got delayed more than a week - it's pointless to get expedited shipping. I'm talking about time from order to shipping. It took almost 2 months total. I tried to complain, but banggood didn't respond to any of my messags. Of course this is a cheap machine, you can't expect to get it out of the box and engrave. Assembling is not that hard if you used a screwdriver before, but there no instructions at all. The instructions on the EleksMake website are incomplete. Watch few videos on youtube before you start assembling. As for the engraving regardless of the quality of the laser you'll find that it's really hard to get good, consistent results. You know that it's burning and when you have burning it's not easy to control. With paper, cardboard and wood sometimes a flame starts. Don't leave it unattended. It might be a good idea to put it in a box with ventilation and proper red, orange or green acrylic lid for safety reasons. The glasses do not cover your eyes completely. If you turn your head yo will see the laser around the glasses. You can cover the sides with hand when you look away. However the biggest problem are the fumes. After 1 or 2 hours burning wood my chest started hurting. That didn't go away even a day or two later. You can't do anything indoors without a box with fume extractor. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars for value for price is that software is full of bugs. Outline doesn't work for images, only for text. Errors are popping all the time. Benbox is an alternative if you figure out how to flush the firmware, but it doesn't control laser power and it's not perfect either. You might want to look at LaserGRBL software (google it). It works with this machine without any configuration or firmware changes.
