A simple little protection board for low current (3A or less draw) systems using 2 series lithium cells. The type / size of cell is not important but the chemistry, must be lithium. The Negative ( -) end of the first cell is connected to the PCB terminal marked B- The connections between the (+) positive end of the first cell and the (-) Negative end of the second cell is connected to the PCB terminal marked BM (battery middle?) The (+) Positive end of the second cell is connected to the PCB terminal marked B+ The connection to the load / charge is made to the terminals marked P+ (7.5V nominal) and P- (GND Negative) Operation is simple. If either of the 2 series cells exceeds the upper voltage limit or drops below the lower voltage limit, the load / charge connection disconnects. The load / charge connection reconnects when the voltages are normal again. This may be the basis of a simple charge limiting circuit and over discharge protection circuit. The board is well made and works as it should. I hope this clears up some of the questions raised.

The completed board is of good quality. The Nixi tubes supplied were a mixture of new and used. There is a misalignment of the PCB footprint for the middle 2 tubes and the wooden base. Generally the kit is good and works well. The backup battery is not supplied with the kit and is an uncommon size. Still trying to identify it.

My wife loves this tool now that we can turn it on every time! Turning on the tool is not included in the instructions. So 1 power on the tool with the small red button down by the battery, unit will beep. 2 quickly squeeze the trigger twice, unit will beep and the tool will now work. 3 tool will power off if unused for a while.

Good clear optics that appear suitable for electronics work. The 3 LED colour selections are a nice touch. Colour rendering is also good. Light could be brighter but is completely functional.

A good little station for the money. It will take a while to dial in and get used to the required temperature settings before I gain confidence with the unit. So far in my practice I have cooked a couple of chips I think by being too impatient an not allowing the heat to penetrate slowly. Overall very pleased.
