This RC Era rendition of the EC135 helicopter is their most advanced model to date. It has a complete brushless setup with the tail rotor actually in the tail where it is protected from almost any damage. It is more powerfull than the previous models, with a 3S battery to supply around 6 minutes of fun. So it's best to get the 3 battery kit. It is a bit more involved for a complete beginner because of the extra power. Best handling so far and an optical flow that really works, but with more noise. It would be great to fly indoor if it didn't make that whining (tail) noise. The landing skids do a great job of soaking up harder landings. It looks great in the air! Very highly recommended!

TRH322 The price depends on how many batteries you order it with. Could that be the reason?

TRH322 Yes they both open up but not all the way like the real thing. Just a few centimeters.

The MD500 by RC Era is a great looking helicopter, available in a few colors. I think this desert camouflage one looks the best. Putting the wings and armament on is a job that requires some patience and attention to detail if you are not used to handling such tiny screws. But the landing gear goes on easy. It's an absolute joy to fly especially in mode 2 and 3 where it is a bit more responsive than the first (beginner) mode. It can handle some wind which is good because you want to take this bird outside. If you're not a complete beginner, there is no need for the optical flow version. On this model it doesn't work all that great when there is a bit of wind. And it flies a bit better without it interfering. RC Era has since brought more advanced models, but this remains my favourite. Highly recommended 1

The Eachine Huey is a beautifully detailed display piece with a twist... This one can fly! And it flies great. It has a very quiet and smooth brushless setup with optical flow that really works. Definitely not for in the living room. But great for the yard or a field where you can really let it go. It will handle some wind. The radio does a great job although the mode buttons are a bit flimsy. I ordered an extra landing skid with it and have needed it already. My stupid fault for crashing it, but it was obvious to me from looking at reviews and pictures that that was the most fragile part. Otherwise it survived a crash from several meters high without any other damage. Didn't even scratch the paint. Haven't tried inverted flight so far because I'm really more of a scale flyer. Highly recommended!

The front canopy (battery cover) is also included which was not apparent from the first picture on the site, only when you look further down. Great color and detail, original spare parts.

I had seen many video reviews stating that this was the best RC Era helicopter to fly indoors. And it is! Great looking with many details and a few colors to choose from. It's cheap because of the brushed motors used. But very sturdy with a respectable flight time of around 10 minutes. You can fly it outside too, but not with a lot of wind. Easy to control and very stable. Best beginner or indoor heli in my opinion for the money...
