The preheat need be heat before you put the PCB, becase in 150°C reach 300 °C and than cooling to set temperature, i mean that is because don't have PID regulation, but there is no problem when you add next thermometer to control temperature of the PCB.

Η συσκευή δουλεύει καλά. Ο σίδηρος και το ακροφύσιο θερμού αέρα έχουν αρκετά καλή θερμοκρασία. Η θερμαντική πλάκα εμφανίζει υπέρβαση της θερμοκρασίας στόχου κατά ~40°C όταν ενεργοποιείται λόγω καθυστέρησης της θερμικής μάζας. Ως εκ τούτου, αφήστε το να εμβαπτιστεί αρκετά λεπτά πριν από τη στερέωση PCB για επανακατάρτιση. Τα κάγκελα έχουν την τάση να γέρνουν. Έχω τοποθετήσει την O.D. 10 του σωλήνα 8 χιλιοστών στη μία πλευρά για να το αποτρέψω.

Device works well. Soldering iron and hot air nozzle have quite decent temperature accuracy. Heating plate shows an overshoot of target temperature of ~40°C when switched on due to thermal mass delay. Hence let it soak several minutes before attaching PCB for rework. Mounting bars tend to tilt. I have inserted brass tube O.D. 10 I.D. 8mm at one side to prevent this.

It keeps the fan running for a while when not using the hot air, and then shuts it down. Don't have the same in my old 863. Hot air temperature is very accurate, within a few degrees. Checked with thermocouples. The preheater is less consistent, and does not need to be, either. I guess it's accurate around the temp sensor but not everywhere on the hot plate surface. The iron is not very good, I'm using (genuine!) Hakko irons with T1 and T12 composite tips. I'm very satisfied with this station.
