This unit is a vast improvement over the original FrSky FVAS-01 Vario Sensor becuase you had to purchase the Sensor Hub as well for it to plug into. The new version is fantastic and plugs directly into any FrSky telemetry enabled receiver such as the X8R VII which I use in all if my models. Also, the ability to daisy chain this device with any other Smartport enabled sensors save weight in your model by not needing the sensor hub and saves money as well. This is a sensibly thought out unit and although its primary use would be for gliders, I am using them in helicopters, aeroplanes and my quads. An all round great product

Uno strumento davvero utile e bello per chi vola molto in alto e vuole sfruttare le correnti termiche. per l'installazione bisogna seguire con attenzione le istruzioni allegate (in Inglese) non molto pratiche. Si può applicare a molti tipi di ricevente purchè dotate di telemetria. Con il suo suono (Radio usata per le prove Taranis X9D Plus) disattivabile all'occorrenza, avvisa il pilota se la corrente termica attraversata, è in grado di mantenere il modello in volo senza l'ausilio del motore, o addirittura fare moltissima quota in più senza dover consumare la batteria del modello, permettendo così un volo molto lungo come durata e tanto divertimento in più Sono davvero soddisfatto di questo acquisto.

Habe das Vario erst in einem kleinen DLG benutzt und ihn nun in einem APM Easystar verbaut und erfreue mich seit dem über seehr genaue Höhenangaben und die Variofunktion :)
