Biggest problem I had with the hotend was temperature stability. The print keeps pausing because of temperature drops. Marlin PID autotune kept failing due to high temperatures/uncontrolable overshot. Turns out the heater cartridge supplied was for 12V when I purchased the 24v version. Luckily I had an e3d 24v heater cartridge and things have improved. The actual heat block is very small so I think it heats up and cools down to quickly. Cura settings of 35mm retraction on extruder change seems to be working for me. It is hard to tune the retraction settings so that the filament doesn't get stuck on colour changes.
