I know it said large, but in the description it never actually gave measurements. When I unwrapped it I was a little taken back by the size. But that's not a bad thing! The actually suction cup is 9cm across. So this makes it nice and big with plenty of grip. I had not actually taken the plastic film off the suction cup and it stuck REALLY well. I believe this would easily take the weight of a full size SLR camera. With the arm positioned to it's highest point and with the action camera mount fitted it stands 16cm high. The mount for the arm to the sucker is toothed which means once tightened it is NOT going to move. It then has a 90 degree bed to a ball joint. So many of these ball joints have a smooth finish which can make it difficult to get a good grip unless you really tighten it. This one has a grooves around the ball, and even with only a slight tightening it holds steady. On the end of the arm is an action camera mount (with a nut, but no screw, but then you should have one with your camera.) This is held solid with a screw collar. You can remove the action camera mount and use the standard thread mount for all cameras and video cameras and use the collar to tighten it. It may be big, but it's a lot sturdier with a LOT more grip than much more expensive suction mounts I have used, and just like in the picture you can adjust the arm to decrease the height. Well worth the money!

I've only used this once and while stationery on my car window. It held on super tight and window was wet too. I am yet to test if moving. The mount has a good amount of positioning as well so you can get some awesome angles
